Thanks to the ancient local finding of quality stone plates, the whole village is made only of stones - walls and roofs of houses, troughs, threshing floor, boundaries, even the little houses for poultry. The gray color of the stones gives Zlijebi a special contrast compared to the green surroundings of terraced fields and orchards. The village has its 'village duke' - high on a cliff a huge rock that reminds of a human head. On the edge is St Nikola church, whose plateau is known as one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the entrance to Boka Bay.

Interesting facts:
Even though the very village is built on a flat ground, surrounding cliffs facing south are conditioned appearance of strict ascending currents of overheated air. These thermals are regularly used by birds of prayer, and in the last years paragliders, so above the village there is also an airdrome for paragliding.
