Serious cyclists, who do not care about long road climbs, should opt for a cycling vacation in Montenegro, which is an ideal destination for this type of active tourism due to its beautiful landscapes. The mild Mediterranean climate is also one of the advantages for cycling in Montenegro all year round, just be sure to bring sun protection, as the weather is very hot in the summer. Kotor One of the alternatives for more advanced cyclists is the old Roman road that has become a cycle path. This circular route that will take you through the forest has rough terrain and is quite unreliable, while the lower part is a very awkward, open path with an incredible view of the Bay of Kotor. Keep an eye out for tourists hiking this trail, and depending on the time of year, visibility is solid so you shouldn't have a problem looking ahead. Consider the gravel areas and many rocks that are very dangerous on the way back. Off-road sections can be very steep and dangerous, so focus and brake wisely. Beginners or those who want a lower level of difficulty while riding have at their disposal a 2km long cycling path through Dobrota.

Stuoc In order to have a quiet, uncrowded cycling holiday in the Montenegrin mountains accompanied by wonderful weather, consider the months of May, September and October. For the very popular route, which covers Durmitor and Stuoc Park, you can expect a lot of drops and jumps during the ride. If you prefer riding with hundreds of other cyclists, the road officially closes to general traffic every year in mid-August and a large number of local and foreign visitors take part in this special ride. The track was specially made for the competition, and it is better to call it - cycling track, with some flat parts. During the other months, when the traffic is open, in several places, the path crosses the road with light traffic, so we recommend caution when driving. This interesting track is good for all riding levels with jumps at every level, so we guarantee you a good time.

Goles The route, which some call "Bjelasica up, up, to Goles", is a beautiful loamy path that winds its way through a wonderful forest from Katun Goleš to Lake Biograd. And to Goleš, the trail leads from the center of Kolašin (from Borac square) over Basanji brdo, through the deep peace of beech forests, past katun, where locals go to harvest blueberries and teas, all the way to fantastic viewpoints. First you will see the key and other peaks of Bjelasica, and when you pass the village of Klačine, as a reward, you will see the view of Kolašin, proud Komov, Vučje and Maglić. Some fallen trees will always be on this trail so caution is essential. The trail would be even better for riding if there weren't too many branches of all sizes on the trail itself. Goleš is a beautiful katun bordering the Biogradska gora National Park, and there are two eco-villages in the katun where you can spend the night. Hunted Since most of the route, which runs along a single lane between the two highest peaks of Lovćen, is quite high, this is not a destination for beginners. The Lovćen route is considered to be the most difficult trail with some seriously steep sections and cascades, but you will get some sections and scenery that flow smoothly and are breathtakingly beautiful in return.

Trešnjevik – Rudo brdo A tour tailored for cyclists will provide many pleasant moments, but only if you don't spend all your time struggling and out of breath on the climb. The beginning of the trail starts from the center of Andrijevica, straight along the road towards Berane and after 900m turns left onto the Trešnjevik road. At this intersection, which we reach after 1.9 km of this road, we continue straight along the road that rises to Trešnjevik, a mountain pass. The ascent is moderate, but the ascent itself is more than 16 km long. The fact that most of the driving is through the forest helps a lot, in the shadows and through thick shade, which will definitely be a good feeling during warm days. The places in the second part of the ascent are especially beautiful, so expect some wonderful views towards Mount Komovi that will appear in front of you. Lisa – Bjelasica – Gradišnica – Andrijevica The best destination for intermediate or experienced cyclists, certainly passionate cyclists have endless possibilities when it comes to Kolašin - a ski resort in winter and a destination for cycling and climbing in summer. Lisa - Bjelasica - Gradišnica - Andrijevica trail is ideal for adrenaline junkies who do not suffer from dizziness. Climb up and drive over the Pobodenjak peak and descend to Gradišnica, the green bay and charming surrounding villages, and finally discover the secret part of the fabulous Bjelasica. A lot of attractions await you in less than 30km of road. An average level of ability is required (those at that particular fitness level will have to push their bikes a short distance, in some places) but if we consider that you need to get to this place first, the level of ability required for this can be more accurately defined as very physically prepared.
