Virpazar

Virpazar is a charming lakeside village that serves as the main gateway to Skadar Lake National Park, the largest lake in the Balkans. From its small harbour, boat tours wind through water lily channels teeming with birdlife, including rare Dalmatian pelicans. The village sits amid the Crmnica wine region, where local vineyards produce the distinctive Vranac red. A medieval fortress overlooks the settlement, and the surrounding wetlands and hills offer walking trails with panoramic views across the lake.
